First you're going to need to get rid of all your extra hair, arms, legs, beard, back, chest, etc. Waxing will be painful, but is probably your best bet. If you are also going to have the surgery, your doctor will probably put you on hormones as well, this will help with the hair issue. I don't know a lot about that part.

Then you need to style the hair on your head into a more feminine style, it's OK if it's short, I have very short hair too and I'm pretty girly. Look online for hairstyle pics.

After that would be cosmetics, some foundation will be good if you have a "five o'clock shadow" and then some blush, lipstick, eye pencil and mascara. Don't put on too much, remember less is more. If you're shy, you can buy it online and practice at home. If you have a friend who's a girl that you can trust, ask her for help.

For clothes, again look online and see what you like, then measure yourself according to their directions so you know what size to buy. Or again, if you have a friend who's a girl, ask for help or try on her things.

Once you have the overall look you like, start living your life as a girl. Use the ladies restroom, stalls only and sit down when you go, otherwise I think it might be obvious! Watch other women, how they talk and use their hands, how they eat, how they walk. The more you practice the more confident you will feel.

I think it's great that you have the courage to do this, best wishes to you.

Always go subtle with the makeup untill you've mastered it. Otherwise, you will look like a man in goofy drag or a hooker, which is not the beautiful woman you are on the inside.

if you have wider/masculine shoulders, try to balance out things by nipping in your waist if you can(the clothes siloutte,no corsets needed) & not wearing something that showcases their broadness(you can tell the difference in the mirror immediately,so no worries)

When you're start out like this,it may seem like a lot to ask for;but pulls friends in on this,so long as they are willing to help of their own accord. It will make all the difference in the world! In any kind of big life-change it's a godsend,& especially so with a decision that alot of people may not personally like in your community.

Still be the same person & personality you always were! Just try to swing your hips a little if you're in a nice dress(subtle left-to-right so you don't look like a racheting wind-up toy.)

Two main things; PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT,& STUDYING MAKES IT EASIER TO KNOW WHAT TO PRACTICE!
Only do things you're comfortable with, really. No need to pressure yourself, hon.

...well,exept for shaving if you're hairy & only if it's going to show. That one is a must.

best of luck,Doll!

if you really wanna be a girl...then you'll need to do way more than make up and dresses. it costs thousands on top of thousands of dollars to do that. but if you really wanna be a girl about it (haha), then go for it.
