How to tell her?

Oke, I like a girl very very much. She is a classmate and we do everything together (schoolthings, and we have the same work at a Chinese).
Last week a boy in my class asked me if I was gay. (that was during the lesson. (my class is very great and we always have a lot of fun. This boy act like he is gay but that is one big joke of him. He has a girlfriend and isn't even bisexual but he likes to make jokes about being gay.
So he asked me and of course I sit next to my dreamgirl ^^ and I said yes I am. And than he askes her, and oke, she was a bit giggling, but she said, yes I am a lesbian. My heart thumped, omg, 200 beats par minute. But now is my Question, how do I know she made a joke or not. I have the plan to ask her just during a conversation, like, blablabla, and by the way, did you make a joke when you said you were gay. But I haven't had the right moment yet. And help! How do I gonna tell her I like her so much.
please, can you give me some good tips how to approach her

Definitely get her alone to ask her about it. Look at it this way, even if she isn't gay, she is obviously cool enough about it that you know she isn't going to scream or laugh in your face. Just casually ask her if she really is gay, or if she was joking about it. If she says that she really is gay, say "Cool... wanna go out?" Easy as pie. :)

Take her aside of the class - away from everyone and just ask her out. If you can't find a perfect time to get her away from other people. You can ask her to go to the bathroom with you. Girls always go to the bathroom together so it is no big deal. Then, you can ask her there.

If she isn't a lesbian, then she will tell you no, thanks. But if she is interested you have plans for friday night! You have already stated that you are a lesbian in class, so be proud of it!
