Definatly never let the romance fade! I learned my lesson the hard way and my husband found it elsewhere. I is a huge part of marriage or any relationship and its not just about sex its about being affectionate in any little way. When you wake up in the morning always ask yourself what can I do for my lover today and eventually they will reciprocate. I've been married for three years and am in marriage counceling right now trying to get that magic spark back. Never stop being best friends and continue to go on dates even after marriage.

You have to have love, trust, respect and communication to have a successful relationship. Communication seems to be the most difficult for some. If you cannot communicate with your significant other, try going to couples counseling to get some pointers on it. Love, trust and respect are things that you have to feel within yourself and have to be earned. You cannot make yourself love, trust or respect someone. Compatibility in the bedroom is also important.

Communication for one. You both need to have good skills on listening and talking. Knowing when to talk, and knowing when to just listen, even if your dying inside and want to talk.... Also trust, your partner should be able to trust in you ever aspect. Honesty, to be opened with your partner and sharing your ideas. Being more creative. Rather going out to lunch, a simple picnic( when warmer) a nice hike. I always enjoyed camping. Find camp grounds that you can camp at. Understanding and compasion. To understand your partners concerns and to respect their wishes unless it goes against what you believe, but then again back to communication. Respect is huge. I think respect indifference and individuality. There shouldnt' be any control issues on either part. Remeber stand next to your partner, not ahead or behind. Goodluck!

Besides the communication, trust, being each other's best friend, sex, little things, that everyone else has said (and I agree with) is to keep a sense of humor. Don't loose this or the dumb little things will get in the way.

never take each other for granted make sure your partner knows every day how much they mean to you and how special they are. It doesn't take grand gestures or lots of money its simple things baby you are beautiful or a passionate kiss for no reason at all, small love notes in the underwear drawer simple things so your lover knows they are your world it will lead to a more open passionate relationship and the rest just kind of falls in place

Like Dr. Phil once said, get up every morning and ask yourself,'what can I do today for my wife, to make her feel special' and she should ask the same thing to herself about you.It doesn't have to be bought things, just treating her the way YOU want to be treated.
