Your question isnt too clear, but if I understand it correctly, a warrant for an arrest can be made in many situations. If you have a court date and skip court a bench warrant is issued for example. I hope that helps you, if not add some details and be a little more specific.

In my State we have what's referred to as an "Affidavit and Warrant of Arrest."

What this means is, the legal document provides the following information:

1) Defendants Name
2) Offense Committed and;
3) The order by the court to arrest the Defendant

It would read something like this:

" Before me, the Magistrate of , appeared Officer X who made oath that did commit the offense of X which was against the peace and dignity of the State."

The above is essentially the affidavit portion.

The next portion which is the order of arrest states:

"To any law enforcement officer, you are hereby commanded to arrest X for the offense of X and bring X before the Judge of the Court for the charge of X."

Hope this helps!

If you are a suspect in some criminal proceeding, and the police can give the D.A. enough evidence to make you their # 1 suspect, the D.A. goes to a judge with the evidence, and if he/she thinks the evidence " warrants" it, he/she will issue a " warrant" for your arrest.
