I've got a nice dual core system but still only have an AGP slot. I'd really rather not upgrade my motherboard right now but I'd like to replace my ATI 850XL with something more savvy and faster.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best AGP card still on the market or will I be forced to move to PCIE?

Also, if you could suggest the reference company with the card that would be fantastic. EG) Point of View, Club3D etc.

The motherboard I'm running is an ASUS P5VDC (if I remember right - sorry I'm at work at the moment). Normally this mb has both AGP and PCIE however my particular incarnation only has AGP.

Very soon you will want to go with PCI-e because chipset manufacturers are no longer going to be making new agp cards, the same way they are no longer making new pci cards. When I mean new I don't mean in box new, I mean newest generation technology. AGP is not as advanced a technology as PCI-e is so there is no real reason for companies to keep making the cards. Also, AGP motherboards are going to become harder and harder to find in the coming years, maybe even months.

Here is a quick hitlist of AGP only cards that are the current top of the line.

On a side note... how did you find an AGP slot motherboard that supports dual core??

I would suggest a GeForce 7800 GS Xtreme or a GeForece 6800 Xtreme.
