Can any one tell me what started the industrial revolution was it something about a barrier?

Industrial Revolution was started by the Brits and the Germans when they discovered how to mass produce steel. With the rise of steel you had more inventions and with that a new age the Industrial Revolution. Furthermore, industrial Revolution is what made UK the superpower because they were able to mass produce bigger ships that were faster and more efficient, which allowed them supremacy of the seas.

The term refers to the beginning of an era when more machines were introduced, which would replace one man - one job. The first to appear was the printing machine, which performed the work of so many copiers of books. Then followed spinning machines, steam engines etc.
