Go online and get an organic fruit & vegge company to deliver a fruit box once a week. Surprisingly cheap and you get great quality produce from local farmers. No toxins, delivered to your door and cheaper than Sainsburys.
In addition, they'll often throw in vegges, breads and other farmer's produces.
If you're looking to go out and about, nothing beats Borough Market on a Saturday morning. Get off at London Bridge tube station, cross the road and you can't miss it. A bit more expensive (mostly due to the tourists) but great farmer's produce.

I believe supermarkets or wholesalers don't sell fresh fruits. You should go to Borough Market on Friday and Saturdays. You can buy the freshest available fruits in London. They all individuals farmers from all around the country.
