I apologise for saying that I don't really know, but some years back there was a fad for Vermont folk medicine which recommended taking honey & vinegar together ... about a teaspoon of honey to a couple of tablespoons of cider vinegar ... I did it for a while, but I was only a kid and didn't need it.... it did have a cleansing affect on my body, as I said that I did not really need.. .. I think one must be careful of too much acid ... that is why people substitute lemon juice for vinegar which is a good deal stronger ...

Apple cider vinegar is a wonderful holistic healer. It restores the Ph in the feminine area if used as a douche ( can cure a yeast infection). There are several herb books out there that have suggested for internal use as well as external. From hair to digestion.Try looking for this book by Prevention The Womans Book Of Healing Herbs.

Cider vinegar has relatively high levels of potassium. It balances sodium in cellular metabolism. Potassium, or potash, is found in many vegetables but people still find it a struggle to get enough of them - so it helps to take it as a supplement. It also contains some trace elements and calcium.
Cider vinegar has anti-inflammatory properties. It also can relieve muscle cramps and aching. It helps disperse excess cholesterol in blood vessels. It may be useful in heart disease and to maintain heart health.
Although it contains weak acids the net effect upon your system is alkaline because of the potash it contains.
I swear by it when I'm ill or run down and I'm sure that it helps my energy levels.
Take it in water either cold - 1 or two teaspoonfuls to a glass of water. Or take it with hot water and honey. And tip it onto your salads (with oil) and green vegetables after steaming - delicious!

apple cider vinegar is very good for the hair. You will see alot of things on the net for ACV washes for the hair. It helps to make hair shiny but can also remove some residues from styling products. In addition it is good for the skin and helps to tighten the pores as it dries. Helps to decrease mucous production from colds,
