Yes, I am happily married.
Yes, it's everything it's supposed to be.
No, it's not the average persons "fantasy" of marriage. It's real.
All the way real. We have a happy home, but we're not all sitting smiling at eachother in the same room at the same time all day long like a magazine photo. That only happens on the weekends, for about 30 minutes and then it's time to get started with our real life day.

I wasn't happily married the first time but I didn't realize it until it fell apart, and I moved back to my hometown and took a good look back at it. We never had everything we needed, and I was constantly trying to make up for it. (example- the washer would break down and instead of insisting he fix it I'd wash clothes by hand) And he seemed to be in it for his own selfish reasons and he didn't seem to care about what I wanted or needed.
Now, in my second marriage, we have all we need, and more, and my new husband takes care of my needs before his own. I swore before that if I ever remarried it would have to have everything the first one lacked, and it does. So, now I'm happy.

Yes, I've been married for 11 1/2 years and I'm very happy. And, no, of course it's not everything it's "supposed" to be. Life isn't a fairy tale. But I wouldn't trade my life for anything.

I am happily married. but sometimes it is not what I imagined it to be. But that is part of it all. You have your ups and downs. If someone tells you something different they are liars! LOL
