I have always believed that it was wrong to invade and occupy a country that didn't do anything to us. There are lots of reasons why the job is taking so long. From what I can put together from everything that I have read is that Bush acted alone on many of these decisions, and fumbled or messed up many of them. And it is too late to correct the mistakes.

After seeing the hearings on CSpan that there is over 300 BILLION dollars not accounted for in the war with Iraq in rebuilding it, this only confirms somethig else I knew. The Bush Adiministration launched a war to get rich off it.

When the Allies defeated the Germans in 1945, did they disband the government and the military? It would have been idiocy to do that. The Allies had the brains to "deprogram" the German state of Nazism and keep the structure as it was.

It took a gang of idiots to disband the Iraqi government and the army. Doing that destroyed any structure in the country and any means of controlling violent factions.

The idiot who is most at fault is the Incompetent in Chief, but the other idiots in the Whorehouse are just as much to blame.

What's needed is a July 20th, a fresh start in Worse-ington.

Additional:

To "wizzards_23", that US$300 billion mentioned is only what they have accounted for so far. The real total of graft will probably be about 55% of the US$2 trillion dollars wasted.

Go read up on Bunnatine Greenhouse, one of the REAL American patriots (along with Rick Baccus, Karen Kwiatkowski, James Yee, and Ehren Watada, among others) who tried to stop the waste and fraud of the US government.

As always in the end, the innocent will be punished and the guilty will be rewarded. It's the American way.

From the movie, "Independence Day":

> President Thomas Whitmore: I don't understand, where does
> all this come from? How do you get funding for something
> like this?

> Julius Levinson: You don't actually think they spend
> $20,000.00 on a hammer, $30,000.00 on a toilet seat do you?

No, what is taking so long is the fact that you cannot subjugate a people. Colonialism is a thing of the past. The US's job was to rid the world of Saddam, now what are they still there for? Its just one lie after another - when is it going to end? I say, lets leave and let the people take care of their own matters themselves... ITs a win-win situation.

No I do not agree to me it is the politicians. If they would allow our military to do what they are trained to do we would be out alot faster. Politicians jump in and tie their hands. Remove the politicians out the mix and the problems would be fixed quickly,.

Nope--not incompetence--just that liberals want it all and think they know everything--when they don't really give a dam about it in the first place.
