It gets a little tricky to say which creature has the smallest brain, because the size of the brain is relative to size of the body, some brains are so simplified that its hard to say whether it is actually a brain, and some animals lack a brain entirely. So, in terms of sheer size, the smallest brain would have to be the smallest organism that actually has a brain, which is probably the paramecium or similar one-celled organism (but you can argue whether or not this is actually a brain).

Echinoderms (starfish, sea urchins, sand dollars, etc) lack a brain entirely, yet starfish are efficient predators that move around and can locate prey using a nerve net with no centralization such as a brain.

The next level of complexity is probably in flat worms, which have bundles of nerves that function as a brain. In some of these worms, you can split the brain and the entire animal in two, and end up with two living worms, each with a brain. Flatworms with simplest brains are mostly intestinal parasites, so it makes sense that don't have much of brain, since the only behavior they need to perform is to attach themselves to the intestinal wall, and they only need to do this once.

When you get to organisms with behavior as complex as ants, they require a relatively large brain for their size. They have better olfactory skills than humans, so this part of their brain is actually larger than in humans in relative terms.

It seems you are concerned about something that could be threatening in you're life, but you are pushing it aside, pretending it is not as bad as you think. You're sub conscious is telling you to face this "small" problem, before it gets out of hand. The fact that you are receiving messages from other "survivors" means that you are aware of other people who have suffered this problem. Whether it be tax evasion, a family member with a drug problem or you simply knowing about someone stealing supplies from work, whatever this problem is, find someone who you know has experiance in this area, and sort it out, before it, like the crocodile, speeds out of control

The fruit fly is the smallest brain-having model animal. Its brain is said to consist only of about 250,000 neurons, whereas it shows “the rudiments of consciousness” in addition to its high abilities such as learning and memory.

Men??? Seriously though, ants don't have brains - I don't know what they've got but it's not brains. I'd say something like the teeny tiniest little iddy biddy doormouse or something - and that is small!
