The word geometry literally means "to measure the Earth." Geometry is the branch of math that is concerned with studying area, distance, volume, and other properties of shapes and lines. If you need to know the distance between two points, the volume of water in a pool, the angle of a tennis serve, or how much wallpaper it will take to cover a wall, geometry holds the answers.

Geometry is important to all sciences! Mathematics, Physics, Engineering etc. For example, how could you measure a large area in order to construct a building! You measure only some basic distances and you calculate the others!

just close your eyes for a moment and then open them again!
what you can see?
everything that you can see, everything that is around you, everything that you can toach, have a shape. you live in a wold of 3 dimensions! (or in 4 if you consider time as well) . geometry is one of the most ancient science! they have to say that these scince born in egypt because egyptians have to know their properties around nilos. the name geometry becames from the greek language and means the way to mesure the earth ( geo =>gea => earth) + (metro =>meter =>measure).
so geometry is important if you want to now the measure of the world that is all around you!
and if you hate mathematics just think that a part of the geometry is symmetry....and beaudy is based on symmetry!
so if you love beautiful things you also love symmetry as well.
i don't know if goemetry is important.....
dut i think that we need and we love it!
