Jan. 31 is the last day the your employer has to get you your W2 if they don't have it to you by then I would suggest that you call them and make sure that they have the right address and ask if it has not been sent yet if you can come and pick it up at thier office. Best of Luck!

Companies are required to POSTMARK W-2 no later than today (january 31)--so give it a few more days, If you have not rec'd your W-2 by Feb. 15, I would contact first your employer, to make sure one was sent and if so, where to they may have a wrong address on file, if thats the case the employer can reissue your W-2, it might take a day or 2 if they use a payroll service or if payroll is done at a different location. If they refuse to give you one or provide you with a duplicate, then contact the IRS, they will tell you how to proceed. Hopefully you kept your last paystub from 2006. You might be able to use that to file with if push comes to shove.

W2s and 1099s need to be postmarked today. If your employer doesn't send it to you, how will you turn it in to the IRS? All employers and employees are required to submit a copy of the W2 to the IRS. If the employee doesn't file a return the IRS still knows that you earned an income because your employer would have reported it.

The deadline is today. If they don't you can call the IRS to ask about steps for creating a substitute W-2 or forcing the company to print them.
