It is almost like they are taunting them to come attack us again.

It's easy to request that people be killed and invaded from your comfy couch.
The total Iraqi civilian casualties are in the tens of thousands.
The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees says up to 50,000 Iraqis abandon their homes every month.
The agency estimates that up to 2 million Iraqis have moved to neighboring countries, mainly Syria and Jordan, before and since the war, while 1.7 million are internally displaced.
As it stands now now, what we are doing to Iraq is far worse what the terrorists (That never existed in Iraq until we invaded and are currently overrunning AFGHANISTAN) did to us on 9/11.
For every terrorist we kill we create 2 more. They can never be "wiped out". Stop thinking you are better than everyone else just because you live in a simple, free country led by a simple leader.
You sound like a 12 year old Hilter who reads a conservative newspaper and takes everything for granted.

BULLSEYE !
The libs think they can buy an end to terrorism, give them enough money ( taxdollars ) and they'll just go away.
Same with every other problem, throw money at it.
Look how well that idea worked with the education system,we graduate kids who can't pass the military's ASVAB Test.
As to a withdrawl. a withdrawl under fire is a tactical nightmare and very costly in lives.
We announce we're leaving on _______ and every road will be lined with shooters , all the way to the border.
The whole world will know, we don't have the political will to finish the job and terrorism will get far worse.

Though I agree there is no use trying to 'negotiate' with terrorists, I also believe that many of these terrorist are caught up in frustration at this point..many of the funds that the U.S. appropriated for the reconstruction of Iraq have been subverted to other areas that leave many of the Iraq populace worse than when we invaded. Many of the utilities have not been restored to pre-war Iraq status, including: clean water, electricity, etc...theunemployment rate has skyrocketed which many believe contributes to this insurgent problem...Hopefully when these issues are addressed we will see a decrease in the violence. We have all seen the result of frustration even in our population i.e. LA Riots, post Katrina rapes and looting...this situation is not much different. Only the culture is.
** p.s mudmarine--the no children left behind act sponsored by our esteemed Commander in Chief is the most under-funded education disaster in the history of our government due to shortsightedness as far as including districts with high special needs children and gross underfunding due to our previous congress which refused to earmark monies for the program which caused the program to go with the least amount (i.e. subpar also known as "continuing resolutions") of funds available . Just so you know.

Yeah, and tell me genius, if Bush cares so much about protecting Americans, then why are our borders still wide open? Why have all the recommendations that the 9/11 commission mentioned fallen on deaf ears? And why did they give Bush a failing grade on security? You really need to take off your rose colored glasses.

If we put all the money that has gone into fighting this useless war in Iraq into Homeland Security we wouldn't have to worry about terrorists attacking us. I think Bush is brain dead for sending our kids to fight a war that had no cause. 9-11 was a terrorist attack that should be avenged, but the Iraqi people didn't fly into our buildings.

I think that American liberals recognize that terrorism is in large part brought on the United States by their own government's actions . . . the bombing of Somlia, supporting of Saudi Arabia, shooting down a plane in China while spyiing, shooting down IA 655 (a passenger flight), supporting Sdaam Hussein and the Shah thorugh most of their reigns, encouraging Israel to get nukes, ignoring North Korea, invading country after country and trying to dstabilize foreign governments in the name of "democracy" when it is really only for greed.
