Carl is an older name - but I know alot of Carl's that are in their 50's and 60's. I don't know of any younger kids being named Carl. But its your preference.
Good Luck.

It sounds like a name for an older man not a baby. My uncle's name is carl.

My sisters boyfriend is named Carl. I think its very nice and not many children are named Carl (if thats what your asking). What was old is new again.

I think its a good name.

I really do not like the name carl maybe its ok for a man who is like 80 years old, but it is not an everyday name. Choose someting like Ashton or Westin!

I think of this guy:

Go for it. I concur with the above re. nice non-cutesy etc. Not over-used. Easy to spell and pronounce. A good solid man's name.

Reading these, I think: What am I going to do if my child befriends one of these 'Ma'Disssone Nevaeh' types? I'm going to automatically dislike the parents...' But it would be awfully hard to think badly of somebody for naming their little boy 'Carl.'

Re. suggestions for 'K' -- not unless you're German.
