I am a horticulturalist..I know that it is not a petunia (they have leaves adjacent to the bloom...not long stems) or Datura (the flower is not ruffled quite like that, the petal rim is sharp).
I guess that it could be a type of Gloxinia.

Well i can say for sure 100% positive that they are NOT petunias. petunias have a different base to the flower.. and petunias also have fuzzy stems. The flowers in the picture do not have fuzzy stems. Is there any way that you could put up pictures of the actual plant? Leaves, entire plant, and various pictures of the flowers (such as one that shows the inside of the flower) If you could post more pictures.. It would probably be alot easier to find out what the plant is.

It might possibly be some kind of frilled petunia ... it's a lovely photo though.

Though looking at this photo, then I'm not sure that it is as the sepals are different.

That would be Datura, hon. Roots are hallucinogenic, ancients used them for ceremonies.

It looks like a cross between a petunia and an iris.
