I am thinking of buying a DVD/Video player in one from argos today and they only have two in stock.
Have you ever heard of the make FUNAI, and if so, are they decent or are they a load of rubbish, like Alba or Bush?
Thanks a lot!

Even though VCR's are a bit outdated, I haven't got the cash for a DVD recorder right now, but I want a decent video recording.

Funai make a lot of products that are branded for other companies, Many of Asda's Cheap and almost disposable Durabrand products for example are made by Funai. You may even find the same player in Asda for less money.

I would suggest that the quality will be reflected in the price and in my opinion Funai rank a little better than Bush or Alba, but not much.

I bought a Funai multi function machine at Christmas and am pleased with it
They actually make machines that are re-branded by other suppliers as their own.
The only complaint I have with the machine is that it is a little noisey when it is switched on but mine has a hard drive recorder on it and I think it is a fan for this

Yup. Funai are down there with Alba, Bush, Goodmans, Cyberhome, HiSense, Acoustic Solutions, Mikomi, Venturer and all the other "It worked for 6 months, then broke down" brigade.

We have a Funai video recorder that works just lovely. It's Japanase I think - they always bring out quite good electrical stuff.
