Denden, Fate is different from destiny and i do not recall details. We live on four levels of awareness.#1 Ignorance. #2 Law. #3 Grace. #4 Christ consciousness.#1 & #2 Are Human levels #3 & #4 are spiritual levels. As we change from one level to the next our concepts an way of functioning must chance. On the level of law one lives by kharma, Desire through actions in thought word and deed create our life circumstances and destiny. We believe we are separate from God, & have a will of our own, plan an perform all action, we are the "Doers".. Most who think they live by Grace are actually still in the law. Once baptized in SPIRIT we rise above the law, law has been fullfilled and we are no longer subject to law, no longer "sinners" we should Reject the concept of Sin,though it will be some time before your body is brought to subjugation. Once you are living "in Spirit" knowing Christ, God, is in you. "God dwells within you as you". No Sin will be attributed to you. but you must stay focused on serving God, You will experience that you have union with God in unconditional love within your heart.Let Go all your human plans and concepts, except that which you sense God is imparting to you Trying to control your own life now will not work, for you are aware of Gods will and must submit to it more directly than before. Read "The Impersonal Life" by Joseph Brenner. Email any Q's for i have omitted about 10,000 words.Accept the desire to will as gods will, perform all actions in service to God. Practice unity awareness, all this is God, all this is God. Become the inner witness, let go the doer, God is the doer of all things. Accept whatever comes to thee, it may be much or it may be naught, from bonds of craving thou must be free.

Your actions control your fate/destiny. If you live a high risk life, do you really think that you will be as likely to survive as someone who takes little risk? Of course anything could happen at any time and things like genetics also affect us, but our lifestyles are the biggest determinant.

I have two points to tell here. 1. You come to know your fate is written, only when it comes real . Praying to god is a lay man's word . 99.9999% of believers pray for self benefits or for coming out of fear. When you come out of fear, you become confident. So you can say prayer brings confidence also. In your question it is clear that you are in an assumption that you pray to eradicate fear of uncertainity in your life. God can never be biased or show favouritism to the ones who pray and the ones who dont. That is the reason why we call that power "god" . Prayer with two palms closed will increase the blood circulation and this caan be felt when u do it in silence. Your palms will repel each other with the pumpming blood. These are teechniques to control your anger,to create a feeling that somebody watches your actions, to make you aware of the consequences ofyour actions etc. 2. Fate Fate is a tricky word you come to know it is your fate only when you face it .So its stillunder question. Astrologers have found that there are lot of celestial bodies in the atmosphere which can throw their rays (some visible and some not visible to humans) on earth and this can change the life or charecter of ALL ANIMALS including man. This science is still not fully developed to give a fair idea on the exactness or accuracy.

We can't control all the varibles to control our fate or destiny.

One thing that DOES determine our destiny is each minute we live.
Right Now!
Excercise, right now and continuing will determine what? Study, right now will determine what? Driving, will determine what? ARRIVING at our destination, hopefully.

You determine your fate/destiny. Things can't always go according to plan. Life isn't perfect & there are some things beyond our control. If you know what you want & you're persistent however, you will succeed. Sometimes we get lost along the way but when you're going the right direction, the universe usually helps you along. If you're going the wrong way, then the universe steps in to give you little signs (apparent bad luck)...Your fate is in your hands, but that doesn't make life easy & flawless. If there weren't any setbacks, if we didn't make mistakes, if we didn't face adversity then we'd never learn, never grow stronger & become the people that we're meant to be. Trials & tribulations build character. If life comes too easy, you don't appreciate it...

In my personal opinion you are the person to control your own fate. For example if your fate was to die by getting hit by a car, then it is your fault for walking in front of the car, and the drivers for driving on that road at that time. It is people will and freedom that encourage the thought of fate and destiny.

We determine our fate/destiny by our own choices. Our choices aren't always smart so some bumps along the way are inevitable.
You can control your own choices but not others. That's another reason why thing don't "fall into place" Be aware of who you bring into your life and the motives/intentions behind your choices.

Because you have to factor in what other people are planning and their actions and reactions to what happens to them and the other people in their lives....you can try to control your fate/destiny to a point but there are still some things that are completely out of our control...

You are the master of your own destiny. It is you who makes the decision to do things or to not do things so are therefore responsible for the outcome of you actions or inactions.

If things don't turn out the way you planned them, then you didn't plan well enough or you didn't execute the plan well enough.

No matter where you get your advise or guidance from, there is only you to blame for your failures. Just as there is only you to congratulate for your successes.
