The most annoying thing about Jo is that she is in denial. She clearly enjoyed seeing Jade bully Shilpa, and her silence was her way of supporting her. She was saying her family and friends would be proud of her. She denied doing anything wrong when confronted with her bitchiness. She blamed big brother for editing her badly - its not as if they cut words out, what she said is what she said. She then said that she had no regrets and would do exactly the same again.
It was only when she had death threats, saw her carrer was over and saw she couldn't go home again, that she apologised. She needs to face who she is, in a sense I hope this is a turning point in her, where she re-evaluates her "dark side" and becomes a better person.
No of course death threats are wrong but Jo has the opportunity now to become a better person, I hope she takes this as a true learning opportunity.

I don't want her dead, I don't care about her one way or the other. But I was repulsed the night Jade laid into Shilpa and Jo sat there cackling like a witch and said 'that's made my day, I feel better now'
Whether racially motivated or not (and having a cousin who married an Indian does not make one exempt from being a racist) it was still a gang of women bullying another, and that is what the majority of people cannot tolerate because in way or another bullying affects us all at some time in our lives directly or indirectly.
Obviously death threats are out of order and should not be tolerated or encouraged, but please don't expect people to shrug and accept bullying as if it's normal socially acceptable behaviour, because it's neither, it destroys lives and causes mental and emotional scars that stay with a person forever, often culminating in mental health problems.
Jo will be offered medical help. I hope for her sake she learns a hard lesson from all of this and in future treats people the way she would wish to be treated herself

Jo had less to do with it at all.it was danielle who stirred it all up over petty things, jade can get done for bullying but the main culprit was danielle.she is the one who's racist and she's the one who shamlessly kept on smiling when she was revealed what had been going on.However just because Jo's cousin is married to an indian man doesn't mean she is not a racist because it differs each time and Jo was one of the bullies.

Overload - get your facts right. She didn't just not eat an Asian's food, she just didn't eat a half cooked chicken because she was frightened of getting salmonella and quite rightly so. So she mocked her accent - Shilpa did the same to Jade when she taunted her about the way she said 'whale'. People conveniently forget that and the fact that they all told Shilpa how to cook the chicken, but no she had to be her controlling self and do it her way - wrong. It was all six of one and half a dozen of another which got hyped up by the media, edited to look bad by BB and went totally over the top. Lives have been ruined unnecessarily - remember last year when Barrymore openly bullied Jodie Marsh - nothing was done about that. OK so they said things about her behind her back, we are all guilty of that but that doesn't constitute the national bullying and threats they are all getting now. Those who wish bad things to happen to others and call them names etc. etc. will get it all back tenfold at some future date - its called karma. Let this be 'end of.'

I don't believe Jo has committed a 'crime'. Of the three (Jade, Jo and Danielle) she is probably the most 'seasoned celebrity' and therefore, the public's expectations of her were higher than she obviously seemed capable of displaying. The type of behaviour they all displayed isn't uncommon to that which many minority groups/ ethnic people have been on the receiving end of for a long time. The fact that (in the real world), it has largely gone unnoticed/ unrecognised and in the relative privacy of schools, work places and other social environments, has ensured the suppression of this unpleasant aspect of social behaviour. Broadcasting this sort of behaviour to the nation has brought this bitter subject to the surface and has forced the public to address, debate, argue and, hopefully, resolve this issue. In the immortal words of Jade Goody (I think), "She's been made an escape goat!."

It is a well known fact that bullies are really cowards, and the crying and acting like a victim proves this point to be true for both Jade Goody and Jo O'Meara.

There is no crime - just plenty of bitching, the same as happens day in day out, we've all done it, we've all had it done to us! Why on Earth so many thousands of people have jumped onto this pathetic bandwagon eludes me! Let's not forget that all the housemates were paid for their time in there & should've known what to expect - at least they're kept off the breadline for another 12 months!

Good question.
I think people are taking this whole thing out of proportion.
If you ask me the people who are sending the death threats are being bullies and need to get a grip. At the end of the day it was a reality TV show, where women were bitching about each other and the public just need to deal with that.
Get off her back and let her live her life ;-)

This is the girl who bragged that Dirk Benedict couldn't 'cope much longer and was at breaking point' , that said 'I'm really looking forward to pushing him over the edge' and that 'it's going to be hilarious to watch what happens'.
So I'm really enjoying watching her being pushed over the edge and breaking.
Someone really should tell Jo to look up karma in the dictionary.
