I have been to both, and can say no.

I believe that the Black Sea is called the Black Sea because of the dead zone that extends from just a few meters under the surface to the bottom. The water in the dead zone is lower in salt content and does not have the oxigen to sustain life.

The Red Sea may be called by that name either because there are seasonal blooms of a red algae in the water, or because the land around the northern coast is very red.

Yes. The Black Sea is black and the Red Sea is red. You got to find the pictures man.

No, I don't know why the Black Sea is called that but the Red Sea is a typo, the actual translation is Reed Sea.

yup red sea is red in colour b'cos the people living near by have killed 100's of shark's so the blood of the shark's have spread threw out the sea hence it is red. and black sea is due to the presence of black soil under the sea.
