Everytime I see an icon with a half naked girl, there's like 100 answers.

Humans like to answer people who actually have recognizable pictures. It makes the question more human.
And yes, men will probably answer questions by people with half naked girls on them faster: they get noticed faster.

I don't know. I don't even pay that much attention to the avatar, just if the question catches my eye. Try setting up an avatar, it's easy. People notice pictures more frequently than they do the generically issued gray, androgynous avatar.
