Excuse my ignorance, are there any Muslim-Indians who are proud of India and love India's heritage or do most Indian-Muslims identify more with Pakistan or Bangladesh?

Muslim, Indian and born in South Africa (as were both my parents). While i'm not that into the whole Bollywood thing, I love the food and clothing, haha. The thing that upsets me though: When Indians (in India - especially in music and movies) adopt Western styles of singing and dressing. The culture is so rich but it's being severely diluted.
A lot of the time, there is a perception that you've done really well for yourself if you've emigrated (especially to the UK). I've visited India once and, while it was a culture shock to me, I believe that the quality of life is so much better in terms of value-for-money and respect for eachother.
And who cares if ppl prefer to identify with Pakistan more than India - Pakistan's only been a real country since 1948 and prior to that, it was part of India!

There have been Muslims in India for centuries. India has the second largest population of Muslims in the world - and those are usually not immigrants. So it is very likely that Indian Muslims love their country, the country they grew up in. India's heritage includes Islam, and Sufism, and Jainism, and Sikhism, and many 'tribal' faiths.

i'm an Indian Muslim and each little thing u suggested is authentic. Being a minority in India has a super form of rigidity on us to be nationalist. we don't hate Pakistan, we evaluate them our brothers in Islam yet do the Pakistanis evaluate the Indian Muslim their brother in Islam? look on the Questions that have been published 2day, against Indians in the Ramadan section. They have been insulting the Indian Muslims too. in the event that they have been referring 2 the hindus then it fairly is the incorrect section to submit their anti-India rant. they could pass 2 the R&S in the event that they have any guts.

The tri color flag makes my heart beat and the national anthem brings tears to my eyes specially the one 'Sare jahan se acchha.' Its just that we are being daily, infact every second pampered and made to understand that we are not the first citizens. This is taking away many muslim indians to unwanted conditions.
