You call the court that convicted you and ask for papers of expungment. Fill them out and send in all the required proofs and wait for them to send you a letter. If they expunge it then it will be like it never existed.
Also: I dont know where Kristy lives but I am in Michigan and know people who have had a misdemeanor expunged. This has to be the only record you have to be able todo this.

I have a misdemeanor as well. When I went to court, I asked my lawyer if I would one day be able to have it expunged from my record (that means to clear it permanently from your record so it is no longer viewable, kind of like it never existed). He told me unfortunately not. The only way to do that is when it's ordered by the judge at sentencing time. If you complete your sentence i.e. community service, probation, jail time if sentenced to, restitution, etc. and your conviction is nothing serious, the judge will allow it to be expunged upon completion of your sentence as long as you completed your requirements with no instances. That is because if people are young and have a conviction on their record, it makes it harder in life to find employment, rent, etc. Trust me! I guess that's the price we paid when we got into trouble originally. I know, it sucks.

Each state may, if allowable, have their own procedure for seeking an expunction or sealing of a record. For an offense which occurred in Florida that qualifies to be expunged or sealed, an application can be obtained from any Fl. Clerk of Court, and thereafter a petition may be filed in the county jurisdiction where the offense occurred.
