what was the D&C for ?for diagnostic purpose? for termination of pregnancy? did you have excessive bleeding during the procedure? then it might have produced anaemia and subsequent weakness .. Did you undergo D&C for unwanted pregnancy ? then most likely you are suffering from postpatum depression , a not uncommon condition . In that case, you better consult a psychiatrist for counselling.

You should just give it time. The fact that you had a miscarriage could be the reason for your depression. I had a miscarriage in August 2006, and although it did not result in a D&C, I was very depressed, over eating, gaining weight. I believe that the over eating and weight gain were due to the depression from losing the baby that my husband and myself wanted so badly. All I can say is to give yourself time to emotionally heal and you will be fine. My doctor told me after my miscarriage that I should heal emotionally and physically and to try to conceive again. That would be the advice I give to you. Just give your body a few months to get back to normal physically and then try again. Good Luck!

Talk to your doctor or a nurse at the office where your doctor is. (Sometimes the nurses are more sympathetic and helpful than the doctors are). A month after I had my D&C, I was feeling great. But my D&C wasn't related in any way to a miscarriage. Mine was done to remove polyps. Hormones play a big role in how we feel, so it could be that yours is out of whack. Each case is different, so talk to the nurse. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

I am guessing you miscarried or had a abortion. Their are no side effect you are just mourning a loss. It will be awhile before you can get your life together. Everything happens for a reason and it may have not been your time for a little one. Talk to others that have been through this it will help to know you are not alone.
I too have been through this and I promise it will get better.

There are no side effects to a D&C besides maybe bleeding for a while afterwards. If you feel down and depressed, talk to your doctor.
