Hi,

Anyone know a good website where it shows how to clean all the wires inside your case? My case is full of fires at the moment :(

Thx :)

Get a can of compressed air or dust remover. Don't use an air compressor though because it's too much pressure.

If that doesn't get rid of all the dust try an electronics cleaner, like Gunk, make sure it's non-conductive first. Spray it on whatever's dirty and let it dry. You can spray it on/in anything such as RAM or PCI slots for better conductivity, it's probably best not to get any in the power supply, though.

Be careful if you use a damp cloth or a vacuum cleaner though because water is conductive and a vacuum cleaner generates a lot of static electricity. Water will cause short circuits and static will fry chips (ie sound card, video card, processor, RAM).

Open the case and use a vacuum.
Car vacuum has a little less suction but a regular one works just as well.
Careful not to disconnect any wires but that's how they do it at a computer repair shop.

take the side pannels of the computer then fasten it to your roofrack of your car and drive up and down a stretch ov motorway till the howling wind blows all the dust out of it then put the sides back on an back in place... if it still works hey presto.

That's normal, but you can replace the drive cables, with round cables. That will give you more space in your case. ie. at Cyberguys.
