There is a book called "Death Rays, Jet Packs, Stunts, and Supercars: The Fantastic Physics of Film's Most Celebrated Secret Agent" which will help to resolve your question.

This looks at the physics and gadgets of 007 - not all of which is as outlandish as one might think, apparently.

Some are make-believe, others really happened. Like the gadgets in Casino Royale (the latest movie) are all real life ones. Some like the invisible car in Die Another Day and the X-ray glasses in The World is Not Enough turn out to be technically impossible.

So just like in all movies, some is real some is not. Just lean back and enjoy the movies.

No way! It's science fiction meets action and male fantasy. Has anybody seen chitty chitty bang bang? It's a kids movie by the same guy that invented James bond. All the gadgets are still there, as are the fantasy names (truely scrumptious is the main woman's name) It's interesting comparing this and James Bond.

yes all the gazets shown & used in james bond movies r real & depict actual technology, but these r too sophasticated & r not to use commercially bcoz they r used to design specially for james bond movies.this the main reason of the charm & craze for bond movies.if those gazets will be open for general use, then the craz for james bond will lost as his gazets r what make him special.
