Spock. Never seen Yoda play chess.

Assuming Yoda has ever seen a chess board and had learned the game:

Spock is more analytical and tactical. Yoda is more creative and mystical. Chess requires experience and strategy. Though either could conceivably win, I'd put my credits on Spock...even Yoda's foresight ability based upon the Force probably wouldn't be precise enough to affect the outcome of a single game.

Spock. No doubt. Yoda shows little evidence of the kind of heightened intelligence Spock has, and we've never seen him play anything like chess, while Spock is supposed to be a strong player. Spock has experience at resisting mental probes and control attempts, so Yoda's force powers are of limited use.

Now if they played poker, Yoda wins.

That would be one incredibly intense game of chess!!! I think the game would consistently end in a draw, tie, undecided, whatever you want to call it, provided both committed to not using any of their special mind powers. Yoda might have a definite edge. Spock would have to be more defensive against Jedi mind tricks, since Yoda could play the entire game himself using the force, though he probably wouldn't use the force for something he might consider very trivial.

Both are geniuses (or genii, whichever you prefer), and both have skills beyond human capabilities (Yoda with his Jedi mind powers and the force, and Spock with the Vulcan mind meld).

Isn't there a game in Star Trek that is similar to chess, but more 3 dimensional, played on more that one board?

I think it might be difficult to get them to play a game since they are both very busy and preoccupied most of the time with much more important things.

All this said, if you actually were able to get Yoda and Spock to play a game against each other, when it comes right down to it, I'd have to put my money on Yoda to win. The Force is the greatest power in the universe, and Spock might consider that illogical.

It's a draw game unless it is played by Commander Data.

Yoda uses forces to corrupt but Spock can resist the forces of corrupt because Spock has no darkside thought.

Spock uses mind brain and Yoda can resist the mind brain reading. because Jedi trained with strong mind of forces.

if anyone, Spock. He's more about logic, Yoda is more about wisdom. I think Yoda would never use the force to predict a move because that would be cheating.

Yoda seems to be more open and versatile. Spock is stuck on what is just logical. Would have to go with Yoda.

I think Yoda would win. Spock, although half human, is still a creature of pure logic.Yoda possesses a great imagination. Imagination is always greater than knowledge or logic.

Yoda, because he could read spocks mind. Spock only uses logic!
