They will be released or have ridiculously minor charges placed on a trial that takes up to six months.
In the meantime people will lose interest with this story and just remember the so called thwarted terror attack.
This modus operandi happens over and over and i cant believe people are still falling for it. Wake up zombies!

Thought Crime, from Orwell's 1984, is the concept of thinking in ways that do not conform with the ruling party's views.
This is not case of thought crime. They are not only against the Labour Government's views, but also of the vast majority of the rest of the world. Beheading a Muslim soldier is hardly a minor infringement of views.
Additionally, the punishment for Thought Crime is ultimately death, something the UK has abolished for many years, even the punishment of High Treason is no longer punishable by death.
Hope it helps

Well, unfortunately I really can't judge UK laws, being as I'm an American....laws are bit tougher in other countries, and police don't require a warrent in many European countries. But as an American, I would say that I had a first amendment right to "think" whatever the heck I wanted.
However, once a person start putting into action their plans to commit terrorism, it goes beyond a simple thought crime.

Well, planning terror is a thought crime? If the police had arrested the people behind the London Subway bombings or 911 before it happened wouldnt that be considered a thought crime as well? After all, they had only thought about it-they hadnt did the crime yet.

Son of Adam, those who were arrested were planning you harm. There is a difference between dissension and destruction. The thoughts of those people would have led to the deaths of innocents.

They were arrested for planning an act of terrorism. In my opinion terrorists should be arrested prior to commiting acts of violence. The alternative is wait until they capture and behead innocent people. Which is better in your opinion?

They were in fact arrested for 'planning terrorism', which is very different from 'thoughtcrime'. 'Thoughtcrime', the term coined by Orwell, refers to having thoughts and opinions that differ from those the government wishes you to have. This is not illegal, for obvious reasons. 'Planning terrorism' refers to actively making preparations for a terrorist act or to making contact with terrorist groups as a basis for aiding terrorism.
Hope this helps!!

I agree with Rob B.'s statement. Planning terrorism is illegal. Better to catch them before the attack then after.

Thanks for the link. I am constantly amazed that Muslims in the UK are given such freedom and they act like such pigs. If they don't like living in a free society, they can get themselves back to Pakistan or Egypt or wherever the hell they came from.
