Rabbits get very strong phantom pregnancies - they act like they are very pregnant, rip hair out, make a nest, get a swollen hard belly. Then after the gestation period no babies appear and they go back to normal. This is quite common in rabbits - if you don't have a male rabbit it's very unlikely she is actually pregnant. Obviously if you do have a male, then she is probably pregnant!
The only way to prevent phantom pregnancies (and real ones!) is to get her spayed - im not sure how the vet figured out she isn't spayed though! Spaying is very worthwhile for female rabbits, as far as i know unspayed females have something like a 1 in 4 chance of uterine cancer (and of course spayed females have no chance as they have no uterus!).
If you wanted to know for sure, you could ask your vet to try and ultrasound to check for babies.

Leave the nest in tact, just in case she might have a litter and was possibly bred by a buck. If she doesn't have babies in 2-3 days then it was most likely a false pregnancy and you can do away with the nest.
You need to keep her penned by herself. Another female mounting her could make her falsely think that she is bred. A doe/female will mount another doe when their hormones affect them and they want bred.
The gestation period of a rabbit is 28-32 days. If she hasn't been with a male rabbit in 32 days she will not have any babies.

Have you ever heard of the term....Breeding Like Rabbits. This is what they do! if your bunny has not been around a male in a long time, then I wouldn't worry about it. Bunnies make nests to feel comforted.

that's serious that don't touch them. Like birds, if the mum smells human fragrance on their toddlers, their mom will abandon them. that's possibly that the mum remains around and grew to become into probable chased off by skill of your canines, or perhaps worse, even in keeping with risk eaten by skill of him. in case you have already touched them, positioned them in the palms of experts, somebody who's attentive to precisely what they consume and the thank you to shelter them until eventually they arrive of age to be released into the wild. If I have been you, i might save your canines indoors for a pair of hours, and then revisit the nest to work out if the mum has lower back. If no longer, i might strongly advise being a hundred pc effective that the mum is thoroughly long previous, then i might provide them to a vet for secure and sturdy conserving.

If she is by herself, with no male, then you don't have to worry about anything. Sometimes female rabbits do this when they are bored, and sometimes they do it when they think they are fixing to have babies. But if there is no male rabbit then, you don't have to worry about baby bunnies any time soon, so I would take it as a sign of boredom. Try getting her out and letting her get excercise and explore a little. Hopes this helps.

Gestation is only 28 days so there is nothing you can do except wait for some cute fluffy guests, by the time they are old enough it will be a good time to sell them for Easter ;-)! (If you can bear to be parted from those cute twitchy noses!)

Female rabbits will get broody, and start creating nests for their young. If they are not mated the hormones are still in their bodies and they react normally, but no baby bunnies.

If she hasn't been with a male then its a false pregnancy. I suggest that you get her spayed if not then she will have an 80% cancer rate. http://www.rabbit.org

She may be pregnant or she is getting the home ready for when she does become pregnant. Is she in contact with a male? She may just be broody.
