The Center for the Intrepid was officially opened yesterday, with headlining politicians Hillary Clinton and Sen. John McCain in attendance. Also showing support for the more than 18,000 troops injured as a result of the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq (as well as thousands others injured in various conflicts previous) were John Mellencamp, Cher, Rosie O'Donnell, Denzel Washington, Michelle Pfeiffer, music group Big & Rich, as well as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff- General Peter Pace....But where, oh where, was our President...or even Vice President, whom are ultimately responsible for our boys being in this lifelong predicament--who gave very near the ultimate sacrifice for our country at the behest of our Commander in Chief. Very notably absent....any explanations?

Though I thank you for your flippant answer, I was more wondering why he wasn't "showing support for our troops" in the manner he repeatedly shouts to the masses WE should.

He was reading my pet goat and preparing for war with Iran.

edit: while the my pet goat is a flippant answer the part about Iran is serious. He has never supported the troops or he would not have invaded Iraq in the first place nor would he be trying to carry out his agenda of destroying his so called Axis of evil.

kreekat, as quickly as lower back, would not understand what he's speaking approximately. Nowhere in a countrywide shield settlement, or in U.S. doctrine or coverage, does it state which you will only be used to "shield the borders". The shield is the oldest of our militia branches (1636) and has served in each and every conflict we've been in and have been the 1st troops to establish action in WW1 and WW2, because of the fact till now the two a sort of wars the prevalent military grew to become into so small and ignored that the shield grew to become into our maximum comfortably knowledgeable and manned rigidity. examine some historic past college boy.

If those pinheads are so concerned for our troops, why are they cowering over here and not over in Iraq helping out?

He was actually in East Peoria, Illinois giving a speech about how great the economy is, and what we all can do to help it keep growing.

It's pretty easy research, mate.

EDIT: Actually, the centre opened on Monday (the 29th), so to correct my answer, Bush was in a meeting discussing how to better our energy policy, and move away from foreign oil. My mistake. http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/01/20070129-3.html

It's old news that Bush only shows when he can orchestrate things, and keep the liberals who would embarass him far away.
