I'm an overly-sensitive person. School just started and, already, I'm starting to get peircing pains near my stomach area, diarrhea(I HATE IT), at night when I sleep my dreams are very exaggerated and uncomfortable. It's at night time when I'm sleeping, that I suddenly wake up with worrying thoughts about my life. I don't feel comfortable and in class I'm distracted by my emotions.

Stress, depression and anxiety are the modern day plagues and if you’re suffering from them, then I know how you feel because anxiety and depression ruined my life for 5 years. From feeling helpless, lonely and isolated to the crushing exhaustion that makes even the most simple of tasks so very hard, these problems create a living nightmare. And you’re not alone- over 20 million US citizens will be affected every year.

The more it goes on the harder life becomes. It’s just like being on a never-ending treadmill whilst in the midst of a dense, choking fog. No matter how hard you try, you just can’t see a way out. In my case, having lost everyone I ever loved and everything I worked so hard to build, I reached the lowest point anyone can go. I’d had enough and I just couldn’t take anymore.

Here’s How You Can Get Your Life Back

Study and go with the flow...apparently you are harboring guilt? You should not hate school but something is not right with the situation. If you are worried about failing...give it your best shot and accept some things as harder to understand at this point.
I know a young girl who needed a full schedule and really dont know how this was pulled off but..scheduled a intro course of her major (that was good) with an advanced course of her major (not good) because she had to have the basic completed before the advanced! Now that was hard...think Peace

Seek medical advice ASAP. Don't be embarrassed to seek therapy and supervised medications as prescribed by a qualified heath professional. Your symptoms of anxiety are not unique to yourself, and you can surely receive help to overcome them. Good luck.

You are a school goer with stress related illness?!

Oh boy...

1. Talk to your parents.
2. Go to the doctor to investigate the pain and stools.
3. Get treatment/help

You are still the responsibility of your guardians/parents. You have to tell them this because they need to be able to help you as a minor (I assume you are).

You will need to visit a doctor to investigate the cause of the pain and diarrhea. Yes, I know the stress is causing it but what is in between? Is it irritable bowel syndrome or is is ulceration? Either way- it needs to be treated as well as the cause of the cause, if you know what I mean. Usually I do not suggest that you treat what is, in effect, a symptom and go straight for the cause but here you need to deal with both. Pain in your body is never good. Irritable bowel syndrome, which to my lay-person's mind is the most likely cause of your pain, is a heavy thing. Orthodox medicine is ill-equipped to deal with it and I recommend that you consider herbalism. This means that if you have been diagnosed as having something like it (or having IBS) you ought to consider what a) their plan of action for you is, and b) what the alternatives are. My MIL has it and she has been plagued for years. She is following the orthodox route. I THINK I have had it and, remembering advice I had from a Chinese professor who was treating me for something else at the time and who LAUGHED at the "white man's" tendency to think of it as a "disease" and never get to grips with it, I went to a herbalist who has cured me. Of course- she gave me something to soothe as WELL as something to deal with the cause of the (suspected) IBS! Just to show you that you need never accept things at face value- only YOU can help them to help you!

Finally- once the pain has been dealt with and you are back to being just stressed address this. CAN you make life-style changes? Do you have access to self-help groups? Could you do yoga? Meditate? Sensitivity is a good thing- it means you are aware of the world around you and that is never bad. BUT- it can be a curse due to the stresses of the bad things happening in our lives which we cannot help. For example- I admit to having a nervous breakdown. Because why? Erm- 9/11, and don't laugh! I was a brilliant business woman and being warned to not work too hard or else I'd fall all the harder...? I won Business Woman Of The Year 2000 in my part of the country for crying out loud! LOL! And then along came a bad time in our world's history and I fell to pieces. So- sometimes we can help alleviate the stresses we experiences and sometimes we cannot. I could have not worked THAT hard and I could not help 9/11 and the aftermath. See?

I can recommend spending a bit less time on the internet/computer/watching telly and getting out and about more. Walking in nature (if you have access) is very good aerobic exercise and it is good for producing "feel good" chemicals in our bodies. You can also get this from working out at a gym but do be aware that it can cause addiction if done in that fashion (not that walking outdoors is not equally addictive but it is always GOOD for you) because you can become reliant on the buzz.

I also find that if I have access to something called Rescue Remedy before an event which is likely to stress me (exams, perhaps?) I am much mellower and not wound up as tight.

Don't underestimate those old wife's tales and remedies- chamomile tea or a cup of hot milk before bed can work wonders!

Panic attacks at night are related to bad sleep patterns- bad enough to panic during the day but at night?! When you are "alone"?! Yep- get that under control and so much of the other stuff will follow!

Best of luck.
