I'm Hellenic Pagan, so our accepted symbol is a 12 pointed star, but I'm having a right time trying to find one that doesn't cost the earth! :) I have pentacles too and I like them esp the one with the triple moons within it but since I don't agree with the typical Wiccan view of all gods being faces of just two, I feel like I shouldn't wear it that much... but then it is protection and I am Irish with Celtic blood so I guess I can have both :) it's just that everyone who sees it assumes I must be Wiccan and not that I have anything against them (except how some I've met are just as arrogant as the Jehovah's Witness down the road LOL) but I suppose we all dislike being mistaken for each other when the various branches of so-called "Paganism" are so different!

A pentacle or pantacle is an amulet used in magical evocation, generally made of parchment, paper or metal (although it can be of other materials), on which the symbol of a spirit or energy being evoked is drawn. It is often worn around the neck, or placed within the triangle of evocation. Protective symbols may also be included (sometimes on the reverse), a common one being the five-point Seal of Solomon. Many varieties of pentacle can be found in the grimoires of Solomonic magic; they are also used in some neopagan magical traditions, such as Wicca.

Owing to their similarity, the words pentacle and pentagram (a five-point unicursal star) are sometimes confused, although their etymologies are different. Adding to this confusion, in the Tarot and in some forms of modern witchcraft, pentacles often prominently incorporate a pentagram in their design.-

modern day christendom (catholicism, church of england etc) took a lot of the aspects of paganism around the time they where formed where do you think santa clause came from? the pagan celebration of saturnalia where every one used to get drunk and give gifts it was a two week long festivle just before the festivle of the rebirth of the unconcored sun held on the 25th of december as this is around the time of the winter solstice (the shortest day of the year) where the same thing happened also in saturnalia a man usually a local used to go around dressed in a red and white suit making sure everyone was making a fool of themselves does this sound familliar just like what happenes around chistmas also the easter celebrations are a combination of roman and pagan celebrations the roman god tamuz had a rabit as a fertility symbol and another roman god ishtar was also invoved in easters predicessors so modern day christendom did take a lot from the pagans get your facts sorted before you tell people to go away.

Christians should note that their religion actually has pagan roots before they start spouting devil worship and Satan at the pagans.

Mainly the pentagram but i have many different necklaces. There are crystals in different shapes, there's the triqueta symbol (the Charmed symbol)

Each of the five points of the pentagram represents different elements; fire, earth, water, air and spirit.
