I've found it at the last Robert Altman's movie: A Prairie Home Companion. In there, a couple of female characters are Country singers and it is said that "They have survived the "County-fair Circuit." Any suggestions for "County-fair circuit" What exactly is it a "County-fair circuit"?

County Fairs have small budgets some even have NO money for entertainment. So those who would like to entertain the public would work these fairs to build a fan base and perhaps go on to bigger n better things
The fact that counties arranged their schedules so that they did not occur at the same time allowed participants IE the exhibitors ,the midway proprietors and demolition Derbies etc etc. to go from one to another creates the circuit effect

It just means you travel from county fair to county fair.
Probably following the rodeo circuit. It'd be a fairly low-scale event with an unsophisticated audience -- but you'd be performing!
