There's this boy at school,a year older than me (around 16) and he plays the violin. He's real great,he wants to go abroad to study music and i think he has great potential.
But the kids at school pick on him and laugh at him because he is not popular, gorgeous and stuff
I am the school's flag-holder( this is the best student at school) and I'm also popular. So,because i look up to him a lot,I play the piano and know how much it takes to become what he is,i went up to him and told him how much i admire him and that he should invite me to one of his music school's concerts. Not meaning that i fancy him or anything.
And when the....morons saw it, they started hanging out with him and making him a friend too.Is this bad?D u think he feels that people accept him just because of me???

I think that what you did was a very mature thing to do and it is knid too. Not only have you shown him that not everyone thinks he is a geek, you have made him feel accepted and special and I think that takes tremendous maturity and wisdom.
You have reached out to someone who seemed to others as a threat.
I admire you. What you did was special, considerate and kind.
Well done

I wouldn't say that it's "normal" to feel this way, but does that make you NOT normal, no. There are a lot of people who have issues around masturbation and sex in general. You like the feeling, then feel ashamed and guilty when it's over. It's kind of like a one night stand... with yourself. You need to try and figure out what is making you feel this way. It's not you, there's nothing wrong with YOU. But somewhere, somehow you've gotten it plugged into your brain that this is bad. Could have been a parent, a sibling, something you saw on tv, or heard on the playground when you were 6. Doesn't really matter where it came from, you're job is to figure out how to UN-plug that message. Masturbation is a normal, healthy, functional thing and you should NEVER feel ashamed for doing it. Well, unless you were doing it on the pulpit in front of the Pope or something... then you should feel shame... and get some serious help. ;)

I give you Kudo's!! What a nice person you are. I think its wonderful that you recognize his talent and tell him so, I also think its wonderful that you don't choose your friends just because of their popularity. Unfortuneately, from what you have already seen, others do. This young man sounds pretty smart, so I wouldn't worry too much about him. I'm sure that he realizes alot of these people are fake. Thats not to say that he isn't enjoying some of the attention, thats ok, he probably deserves it. Its hard being the person that no-one talks to just because you have a different interest than most. I hope he is able to follow his dreams and study abroad, and I hope he keeps in touch with you and fills you in on all of his lifes adventures!!

Well its more like you did bring a certain glow to him by excepting him for who he was, and truthfully to me that shows great leadership to do so. Meanwhile the others are the real losers in it, because they turn out to really not have a clue about a real friend when they see one, they are what you call followers, and hopefully what you taught then will carry on throughout their lives. You never judge a book by its color, so great job, and you just continue to think for yourself and don't be like the rest. And I would think that to him because he already knows the true road to success, that he really doesn't care sweety who accepts him and who doesn't, so don't worry, he knows that atleast you are a friend apart from the rest.

You are a wonderful girl. You didn't care about what other people thought about him and you went to him and told him how much you appreciate him.Nothing is better than that to make someone feels special. For the others that started hanging out with him,i doubt their sincerity but who knows they will probably find out that he is a nice guy and like him for who he is.High five girl

You should never feel bad about doing the right thing. As long as your intentions are in the right place, don't stress about everyone else's intentions

I think what you did was admirable. Hopefully as they get to know him, they will accept him for who he is. At least you gave him that chance.

No, let him enjoy it. The rest of the bunch didn't realize him until you opened their eyes. It's his turn to be popular, too.
