one bag of mortar, sixteen shovels of sand and water, get a hoe and a wheelbarrow, that will make quite a few moulds, I have taken leftover mortar(mixed) let it harden in a bucket to a certain point, (grease the bucket with oil or something) got it out and carved into the mortar, it was fun, I also like to use shells and rocks in put them in the moulds, make different designs. Have fun.

Mortar mix and sand. Don't use pre-mix with rocks.

Do some reading 1st. make a plan, and take your time. If you rush then you will have Oops and OH Sh##'s.
