You got caught cause you wanted to, its part of your kink. Crossdressers usually will continue all their lives to cross dress, its extremely compulsive and hard to control.
Yes, many women enjoy guys who dress up, as most crossdressers are heterosexual men.

men are taught to supress our feminine side and that we can't express our emotions and sensitivity in public.. so we often resort to other mechanisms to release these feelings.. crossdressing is the most natural way for a man to reject societal norms of the "masculine" image..
some girls appreciate the feminine side of men while some don't.
i crossdress at home all the time.. in fact, i only wear men's clothing when i have to leave home.. kinda living a double life you ccould say.
if you do have a woman in your life who is concerned, explain to her that crossdressing has nothing to do with sexual orientation..
