I have long wondered why this question is how you you are judged to be a optimist or a pessimist. When someone is asked while they are drinking it, they answer half empty. The reason is because it is not going to be filled before it is empty. If someone is asked in mid filling of a glass they will say half full, because it will be full before it is empty again.
