Here you can only do a guessing work because you don't have either scale or means to measure it.
Imagine an ant in your backyard in California and it's ability to figure out Eifel tower in France. Do you think it can even think of it?. At the max it will know the boundaries of your backyard. It's sense and capability is not suffient to even think beyond it.
We are looking from the dimensions we know... length, width and height. Universe must be having other dimensions that we can't even think of. I suspect time as one such. If you can move around in time, then you can probably find it. But that's not possible with the scientific knowledge humans currently have.
So, let's keep thinking.
Antman - I hope you didn't get offended by example using 'ants'.
If you think what I wrote above is 'Plagiarism', then what we have been doing is nothing but plagiarism. If someone quotes "e=mc(2)" doesn't mean he is doing plagiarism of Einstein's theory.
Here we are talking about something where there is no answer. Our lifetime itself is not sufficient to go to the nearest star, hence I said time may be a good dimension.
Sure antman- I can fancy anything that can't *solidly* be defined ;-)

The universe would first have to be defined rigidly. Because each mind imagines the universe in its own definition, what is beyond the universe is different to different people. If one imagines the universe in a ridged definition, the definition would change from one millisecond to the next. The universe being in constant motion would indicate that the "beyond" would have to be also moving in order to accommodate the universe. So, my answer is that...they beyond is relative to the universe at any given time.
Now the beyond the beyond is a different question...if one takes their own definition and included time in the equation, at any given time the "beyond the beyond" could be anything one could imagine.
And since one can only visit this place in ones own mind...it is, at this time and space...what you believe it to be. No one could argue with that theory. The space mind continuum continues.

No one knows for sure, but supposedly the universe is expanding and accelerating so maybe we'll find out in about a billion years or so.
