Hi there honey. I really don't think that you should be worried this early in your pregnancy. Your baby is still on the small side (about 8 inches long) and his movements are slight enough that you are lucky to have felt them at all. Within the next two weeks they will get increasingly stronger and easier to feel. Later on in your pregnancy the baby's movements will be something that you will be aware of on a daily basis, but not right now.
It is true that later on in your pregnancy if you do not notice fetal movement it can be helpful to drink a glass of orange juice as low blood sugar can make a baby lethargic. I would not advise the Mountain Dew as neither you nor your baby will benefit from that jolt of caffeine.
For now though the best thing you can do is relax. Try to enjoy your pregnancy, this is a time when you should be feeling pretty good physically as the baby has not gotten so big that it is pushing on your internal organs too much. This is a nice time in your pregnancy to do some reading and learn as much as you can about what is happening to your body....and your baby.
Take care and I hope I have helped a bit.
Love and Blessings
Lady Trinity~

i feel the same way
when i was around that time..i barely felt the baby move.
i heard lots of people talking about how the baby always moves..etc.. i felt nothing..and was soo scared.
but u dont take too much stress..
if u are really worried..
drink some orange juice..and lay down for an hr.. u'll feel the baby move.
as time goes on the movement becomes more noticable. I am 27 weeks nowl..and just for the past 1 week or so.. i've been distinctivly felt the baby move now.

It could be that your baby just moved positions and has more room so you are not feeling it. If you are too worried just give your doctor's nurse a call and ask if it's okay. My doctor always told me to lie very still on the bed and concentrate on counting the movements I felt in my tummy. Also if I ever questioned it one thing that worked for me is if I wanted to feel my baby move I'd massage my stomach for awhile and then be very still for a few minutes and then I'd feel a tickle usually. It's natural to worry though, trust me I thought of everything!!

I had this problem at 22 weeks also. My Dr. told me to sit up in bed and drink a tall glass of O.J rather quickly...it sometimes gives the baby the jolt to move. If not, then you should call your OB. They will do an ultrasound to make sure everything is OK.

At 22 weeks if I remember correctly the "baby" is about the size of your thumb. You might have felt it move, but it would have taken a really violent move on its part for you to feel it. Normal movements of one this size you would not be aware of, Relax.

It is probably just fine. Women that stress frequently often like to rent the Baby Beat home doppler system so you can check the fetal heartbeat at home to reassure yourself. You might want to look into something like that if you can afford it. It really calms to nerves to be able to listen in when you are getting worried.

Your baby is still on th small side, and to her there is a lot of room in there. She more than likely moved to an area where you cant feel her. However if you are still concerned you can always call your doctor.

i would say it is ok, cause both of my kids did not move every once in a while. So if u really want to know what is going on then go to your doctor and ask if he can check it cause it bothers you not feeling the baby.
Other than that I would wait casue you will feel it again

babies dont move all the time at this stage, in the next few weeks she will move around like crazy but right now there is nothing for you to worry about. good luck.
