Many people seem to think that God can be fooled only by prayer but not doing good deeds for the humanity. Can God be fooled just like the way politicians fool people?

I think an awful lot of people tend to speak for God, but that not a one of us can even begin to imagine what a deity would say or why.

That said, the way we see God conventionally -- no.

And I don't think the pols fool as many people as they think they do. I just think there are a lot of fools.

God --The one who made you knows you completely . We know ourselves and others only superficially.God will not be mocked . We know what we do but God knows why we do it.He has in the past caused people to do his will when they would have chosen other ways. "I will harden Pharaohs heart" He encourages voluntary good deeds . The woman at the well ran and witnessed to his being the Messiah to a whole town wherein she was not well accepted because she was sexually promiscuous.
Someone said "you can fool all the people some of the time , some of the people all of the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time" Might I add you cannot fool God any of the time . Not any more than a watch can fool the watch maker

No. He knows your true intentions. He knows everything. He can't be fooled. I think He'd be more impressed with someone who is not openly religious yet does good deeds than a hypocrite who pretends to be good and religious on the surface but does evil in secret. Even in the bible, Jesus tells a parable of two sons. The first son told his dad he was going to do a chore, but then neglected to do it. The second son said no at first, but then thought better of it & did it. Which son did his father's will, Jesus asks. The second.

By the way, politicians don't fool everyone...Some people see right through them.

God sees through us.

If one tries to fool God, one can only fool oneself and that too is not possible for any sustained period of time.

if God is all powerful as you seem to be saying, then you are fooling yourself, not God!

The concept of God you have is really pitiful. It actually doesn't even fit a concept. That's one of the 1,0001 reasons why I would never become a member of any religion, much less a Christian.
