My shoes get dumped at the door and my coat on the nearest chair. Being it is just me, that works.

I hang up my coat and place my shoes in the entrance way, but the kids just throw them all right in front of the door, which really makes me mad.

No. I keep my shoes on. We have laminate flooring. I do hang up my coat.. Wish my kids would do the same with their backpacks and school things.. Usually left by the front door until I get on them to clean up their clutter.

kick off the shoes and put them in the shoe basket inside the door...hang up the coat

Sometimes. When my husband and I are in neat freak mode, yes. Otherwise, my winter coat is sliding off the couch all night long.

Well la dee da, you have a hook for your coat? and a place for your shoes? i just do a tazmanian devil when i get in, i'm lucky if i can even find a shoe later on.
