You must re-format your operating system. If you do not want to do so then visit "www.download.com" and search for "Speed up my PC" and then download it. This may help you.

Before you go reformatting and losing all your data .
Go to the web get AVG antivirus and anti spyware software.

Both are free versions . Run both after installation and clean out the spies that are slowing it down. It may also have trojans so the Anti virus will deal with them too.

Then use Defrag to clean up the disk and see how you go.

If you've had it for awhile, I would suggest downloading AVG Free Edition and have it clean up anything that might be lurking around your computer... trust me AVG Free is probably the best anti virus software out there.

After that, performing a defrag to speed up performance wouldn't be a bad idea either. And, try getting rid of any extra programs that may be hogging up all of your hard disk space.

Run anti-spyware utilities like "Ad-Aware andSpybot" google these free apps and run them. You will be surprised how much crap they will get out of your computer. FYI, remember this, you can have multiple anti-spyware apps on your machine but only ONE firewall and ONE anti-virus.

Catch up with it, then tie it to a desk.
