When irritated, enraged or simply extremely annoied, you have to put a mask on and not show any of those emotions (eg. working environment/ employee-boss dispute). How do you prevent your feelings from changing your expression and giving you out???

It is impossible for me to do. But without going nuts, I will take a deep breath and slowly breath out. Then think about something else for a second. if there is a window, I will take a peek outside, then resume the talking.

The best way to have some patience and to control your emotions is to look for another job where the working conditions are better.

When you know that your unhappy situation is temporary and you are on your way out of it, then being patient isn't so difficult.

Patience is difficult only when you are backed into a corner and you have no way out. And if you have no way out, then you may end up exploding in anger some day and loosing your job as a result anyway.

It's better to have some patience and get going on your own, while the going is good. You don't want to end up looking for another job without any good references from your present job.

I'm sorry, dear, I don't think it is a good idea to "stuff' emotions. This simply leads to greater difficulties down the road.

If you can't talk things out with your boss, or find a better working environment, find a good friend that you can spill your guts to, and vent the poisonous anger before it takes its inevitable toll.

I do wish you well!

It seems to me your doing more harm to your self by trying to hide your emotion. There is a reason you have been given the gift of expression, good or bad. Think of this world with everyone having a blank face all the time. Boring! Maybe channeling your energy towards controlling your anger would serve you better. Always ask your self (What best serves you).

If something annoys us, upsets us, angers us at work etc, it can be difficult to not show some form of emotional response on our face. But being it is not always appropriate to show your emotions (particulary in work environments) it is definately a skilll you need to keep in check.
Play poker if you want to practice..ie pokerface - lacking expression so other players are unable to read your facial expressions.
I would say grief is the most difficult emotion to supress. Its hard to hold back tears.

Force a smile. When you smile it automatically changes your mood.
