My router has been giving me problems, and I want to revert back to the broadband modem. Is it just a case of unplugging the router and installing the modem again, or do I need to reset the router, then unplug. Very confusing.

Shut down the PC and the broadband modem. Disconnect and remove the router. Connect the PC back to the broadband modem. Turn on the modem. Turn on the computer. You might have to re-run the set up CD that came with the modem to set it back up. But most of the time it will still have the settings from when you first set things up and will automatically reconnect to the modem.

Go to your add/remove programs, find your router, and uninstall. Then go to your internet connections and make sure your broadband is still there.
