The question - do you think it's okay for a guy to wear lycra spandex shorts when working out at the gym?
Me, I'm tall and pretty much built like an pro-football tight end (no pun intended). The gym isn't my life, but it will always be a part of my life. I work out hard to stay in shape and black lycra shorts just seem to feel better and function better than baggier shorts. My wife gets really turned on by it too :)
So, spandex shorts or no spandex shorts? If you like the idea - why? If you hate it - why? Do you immediately assume a dude is gay because of it?

Spandex shorts scream LOOK AT MY BITS and I dont mind that at all if they are on the right body so you go for it and keep us 45 year old grannies trying to keep fit HAPPY

No I do not think it is OK for a guy to wear spandex. I don't assume anything because you wear spandex. gay or not.
I just really don't see the point of spandex on men. I think most men look silly in spandex. reminds me of speedo swimsuits. I don't really want to see, ehem, your know whats in that much detail at the gym when I am plugging along on the elliptical trainer.
you could wear a pair of those super tiny running short things over the spandex maybe?

Some clothes are better worn when you have the body for it. Spandex shorts, IMO, fall in that category. From what you say, you are fit and not a big chunk of fat.
Go ahead, wear them dude.
If anyone says that it makes you gay because of it, it's probably they are just jealous that they "can't" do the same.

If you like it and you stay in shape, I say you go for it boy! There's nothing wrong with a man wearing spandex in the gym. This hot guy wears these shiny spandex shorts at my Bally's gym. Eye candy for us gals ;)

Since you're married, (and your wife loves your tight shorts!) I'm assuming that you're not at the gym to impress anyone with your outfit.
Also since you're not fat, no one will be offended by what they see (and others may enjoy!) I don't think it makes guys look gay.
So don't worry about it and wear what is most comfortable for you!!

dont wear them!!
guy who wear lycra when cycling are bad enough but weaing them whilst working out/jogging is yuck.
your wife is getting turned on cos they make your bits look huge and out there!
