I'm not saying he would have a right to force the woman to get an abortion, only that he would have no legal responsibility, financialy or otherwise.

It is very simple. If a woman gets pregnant she can choose to have the baby or not. If she chooses not, the man can ask her to carry the child and he will keep it. She can say no, its here body. if she chooses to keep the child she can ask the father if he will be there. He can say no, this would be a fathers legal abortion. As far as the man using birth control, the woman can choose to use birth control also or choose not to have sex. Again they both have a choice. THIS ANSWER DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH RAPE. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ARGUMENT!!!!!

I disagree with abortion and would rather adopt a child a woman doesn't want. STILL HER CHOICE THOUGH!!!!

I see what you're saying. However, having a man say that he doesn't want anything to do with a child isn't a 'male abortion'. It's neglect and alienation (in my opinion, anyway). I think that if a woman decides to have a child, and the man disapproves, he should at least help her out until she's financially stable (that doesn't mean that she can take advantage of him). It's definitely a two-sided argument. Your question was grammatically 100% better than most that I've seen on here, by the way.

this is a difficult question, because a woman if she doesn't want the baby, she aborts.
if i understood the question, the man has the same right to ask for the abortion?
Remember there are many single woman with children. married women with children, that the father doesn't take care of his children. or doesn't send the alimony.
a woman carries in her womb a child for 9 months, and she decides what to do with her body, and in most cases can take care of the child by her own.
if the question is the contrary, the man wants the child and the woman does not, he has to come to a good term with the woman, goes to the end of the pregnancy, and give him the baby.

but in these days that women live alone, how can a man tell her to end her pregnancy, if she does not want to. its her body, and an abortion has its risk, if she doest want to. remember ITS HER BODY.

no. they can go and get fixed so that they can engage in premarital sex without making the same mistake again but they have no rights over the womans body. and they must live with whatever decisson t he woman makes about the baby. Even if that means they have to pay child support for 18 years. maybe they will think twice the next time.

I do think the father of the baby should have some rights, however it is the woman that has to carry the baby to term and that is where it gets sticky. Legally the father has no rights and I am not sure how to change this.

Absolutely. If you are a guy and you want an abortion, knock yourself out! But if you are a guy and you want to stop a woman from aborting your baby, it's control. You have no say in what she does.

what is good for the goos is good for the gander.

yes, i want to start a home for unwed fathers. I think they deserve a place to get away from the stigma of being an unwed father...they go shot pool or darts and have a telly for sports and free beer and pretzels served by big bused wenches who know how to treat a guy...yes, unwed fathers have feelings too

The husband must also have the choice or concurrence for his wife regarding abortion because they are both responsible for the making of the fetus.

A woman has a right to her eggs and a man has a right to his sperm. If sperm grew in the man he would have a right to an abortion...and I for one would love to see it.
