Im not pretentious to think that others cant think for theirselves.I believe people can make their OWN choices. To me NO abortion is the right CHOICE, but we have to offer a choice first.Taking away freedom to choose would kill the idealogy of what Americans fought & died for. Jesus taught compassion and not to judge thats why im PROCHOICE.

Abortion is a medical procedure that should be discussed btwn the woman & her doctor. Ive no right to infringe in her privacy. Would you want someone going thru YOUR medical records/history? You have no right to go thru MY medical records. Ive no right taking away a persons rights, born/unborn.
Im AGAINST abortion.I DESPISE abortion & if I were a woman Id NEVER have one. BUT Im male & wouldnt know how it is so I wont JUDGE her circumstances. I wouldn't know if she was raped, whether the pregnancy will hurt her and the child's health, psych problems etc. Its NOT my business. Its a SENSITIVE issue. Its a MEDICAL issue btwn her and her M.D.

I'm pro-choice, not pro-abortion as pro-lifers would like to call me.

When I was younger, I was very much pro-choice at any time and for any reason. As I've gotten older, my views have changed somewhat.

I agree with you that it is a medical decision but there are times when not carrying a pregnancy to term may be the best option for the mother. However, what makes me sick are the people who use abortion as a method of birth control----the ones who continually engage in risky behavior without any though of contraceptives and have repeat abortions whenever they happen to find themselves pregnant.

This is a very emotionally charged issue and there are people on both sides who will never concede that the other side may have valid arguments. I believe that we will always have abortion in some form. (Even if it becomes illegal again, it will not stop)

I would like to see increased education and personal responsibility to decrease the numbers of abortions performed. If you don't put yourself in a situation where you might be accidentally pregnant, you won't need an abortion. There will always be the occasional contraceptive failure but the various contraceptive methods are very effective if used correctly and every time.

You are a little mixed up but don't worry, I am here to set you straight. Being pro-life does not mean you are "judging" people.

I agree that we shouldn't judge women who have had abortions. We need to be compassionate as many of them regret it and have to live with horror, guilt and shame for the rest of our lives. Rather, I think we can learn from them, as many of them are now speaking out AGAINST abortion. And remember, Jesus is all about forgiveness...But being pro-life is not judging. You can love the sinner but hate the sin.

If you want to view abortion as a medical procedure, as you say, then why do we need abortion clinics? Couldn't a hospital do it if a doctor felt it was medically necessary (or in rape/incest cases)? That sure would cut down on abortion-as-birth-control, now wouldn't it? Did you know that rape/incest cases account for less than 2% of abortions?

Now, back to Jesus. It was He who said at the Last Supper, "This is my body, I give it up for you (so you can LIVE)..."

Don't you find it interesting that the pro-choice people are saying just the opposite: "This is my body, I give it up for no one (so you can DIE)...?"

I will conclude with that.

I myself am a prolife, however I think It is the choice of everyone.

I was raped at 14, concieved, I didnt have an abortion I misscarried. I am better off that I did, And so thankful i did nothing to cause my baby to die.

But I do not agree with the fact a woman can just go have one and not even tell the babies father. That is his child also.

I think that you have said something that has long needed to be said. You can have it both ways. You are able to disagree with others and at least understand that your way is not the only way.

I feel exactly the same way. I have no right to tell any woman not to have an abortion but I do understand there are "reasons" as to why someone would desire such a choice.

Respect even amongst Diversity :)

A Pro-choice must be against abortion or could favor an abortion. There must be a choice but a good one and legal under the law.

I agree, and you make very good sense.Knowing what you say is something people today, not all,but many speak without even knowing what they are saying. We must keep, freedom and we must maintain the DR. patient confidentiality. My belief is it will all be settled in the end.I have other problems with my personal life to worry about a woman's choices it is like you said between her and her DR.--and GOD><

I am pro-choice, but I do not think that I could ever have an abortion myself.

However, I've never been in that predicament, so maybe I'm wrong.

sounds like you want you cake and eat it too.
can't have it both ways...
yes, i agree there is always an exception to the rule..but who is going to play God? Doctor, or Priest, the Parents? I am glad I would not have to make that decision. Murder is murder but when you spare a mothers life in case she is in danger or the child is not right? well its a very sensitive issue.

Although I agree with you, you should step off of your soapbox and ask a question that needs an answer.
