Eminem (and I really don't like rap music) is a lyrical genius. Definitely listen to him - I think everyone should at least once!!

Start with old school rap! Run DMC, Rakim, NWA, KRS-One, Ice Cube, Public Enemy. If you want something more popular but still quality then check Dr. Dre's "Chronic" (best rap album ever), Nas' "Illmatic", Snoop's "Doggystyle". If you want something relatively new but classic check out Eminem's "Marshall Mathers LP" and Jay'Z's "The Blueprint".
