Burning a Cd on a PC is done by a laser there is not enough heat involved to cause a flame

There are a couple of reasons.

1. The cd's are made out of space age materials. The same stuff that goes in a space shuttles heat shield tiles. Made to withstand temperatures up to 2000 degrees.

2. The cheaper models have minature air pumps that come on and put the fire out before the cd catches fire.

3. Now the computers in Ireland are better. They each come with a wee leprachaun. They have taken his pot of gold. So he has to put out any cd's fire before it melts or he will never see his pot of gold.

4. And for the up-to-date computers, they have firewalls.

For the people out there without a cents a humor, call your bank.
