To quote another verse back to you
Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel."
Because of sin, there will always be tension between the man and the woman, to some degree.
It is certainly possible that they feel unloved and need to know they are loved, but we each have a responsibility for our own actions.

I respond by using selective hearing. Which basically is that I only listen to what i want to hear when the wife say's anything. If it's something i don't want to listen to i just pretend i'm listening but not really paying attention and retaining any of it.
All women need to know they are loved, possibly the reason they get to acting contentious is because they don't feel loved.

Que?
Anyone can be contentious. It is not a gender specific thing to be argumentative!
In all honesty men's perception of women as being argumentative stems from men's inherent unwillingness TO discourse at length.
That is OK- some of us like to discuss/argue/converse and some of us do not.
And those who do not like to talk usually HATE to have to.
Hence their preference for a desert island where they can be quiet and not engage in verbal sparring.
In my view there is nothing WORSE than a contentious man! Very different animal indeed and therefore quite impossible to cope with. ;-)
Oh- and discourse is not about needing to be loved. Discourse is seeking clarification and resolvement. I see it as a means to achieving enlightenment. Truth is everything and if in doubt ASK about it, talk about it, shout about it!

This one is easy, the Feminist movement! Since this movement, women have been taught that being "independant" and "b*tchy" gets them what they want with men. They think that traditional rolse are "mans" way of keeping us a slaves or that we can use zex as a tool to get what we want, in a bad way.
They also teach us that MEN have to cater to our every wants and needs, without having to give anything in return. They teach us that aren't supposed to have feelings! (oh! but they do!! :) )
To give an example:
Man asks the women to fix his fave meal one night.
the womans responce"How dare you! I'm not a housewife! I'm not your slave! I can not belive you are asking me to do something so stupid! screw you buddy! I'm cutting you off from sex and you are sleeping on the couch this week! Ask me to cook...what do you think this is? The 1950's? Stepford??? PSH!"
BUT if the women asks the man to cook something for her..
"Hunny, will you make me my fave meal!"
Man responds "Ok baby.." (and chances are, he's not real good in the kitchen, or just never learned how to cook! nothing wrong with that..) And he messes the meal up...
woman responds" I can't belive you f*cking don't know how to cook? You can't do anything right! and look at the mess you made! Y9ou better clean this up or i will cut you off and you will be in the doghouse!!"
See how bitter and mean we are to our men? All because of Feminist!
So, thats what happened...we had a few to many Liberal women that had to much time, money and no midol ;)..
But men never fear! There are good women who will jump at the chance to fix a good meal for you!!

For the most part if a woman is treated good she will respond in the same way, barring she is not an idiot...but usually some man comes along and gives her a few swift kicks and kills her inside, then may the best man win..

human beings are just social creatures. i think humans are not meant to just live alone but to interact with others.
Proverbs was probably is relating to a comparison that if u you have wife who keeps getting at you aggressively for no valid reason it probably better to be alone as it wears the poor husband down. this also relates vice versa. hubbies at the necks of their wives. its just an analogy that with any quarrelsome person you are with, eventually you find that being by yourself is better cos you get some peace.

They come home late. Not that it might not be the guys fault that the woman is this way, but no one want to be around a cranky person. If I loved this women I'd try to get together for counseling. JMO

The Bible has some very old-fashioned ideas about women, and advocates treating them less well than is accepted today.
I am an atheist, so the Bible has little meaning for me, but if your christian, this does not invalidate the Bible, but one must read it with the frame of mind that 'the past is a different country; they do things differently there'. Following its teachings literally today will probably get you arrested or committed in most countries.

yes they may feel unloved and not just unloved but they feel that their boy is not contented with us girls, so what we call GIRL POWER must be followed because not all boys have the power but we all girls too.
